World Junior Curling Championships 2002

Men's tournament, Draw 7

Denmark back in the race

Olle Brudsten the Danish coach wasn't unhappy Wednesday evening. His Danish boys won over Japan with 7-3. This may not have been unexpected but it was the rest of the results that made him smile. First Canada won against Scotland with 6-3, then Switzerland lost against USA with 7-8 and finally Russia scored a deuce in the last end to win over Germany with 5-4. This leaves the Danish with a 3-4 record a chance to get into the tie-break for the playoff's, not a scenario that was in his mind when his team entered the day with a 1-4 record.

In the ninth end Japan did a substitution and 12-year old Kaziuki Shishihata played the last two ends. He is arguably the youngest player ever in the WJCC. His stats? 100%!
