Ford World Curling Championships 2002

Men's tournament, Draw 8

The final four?

Three teams are ready for the semifinals in the men's tournament. Canada after winning against Finland 7-6, Scotland even though they lost to Norway 5-8 (please note that the incorrect results were posted for a while at the web, due to incorrect numbers hanged up by the officials) and USA that easily won against Austria 10-1 in six ends.

Norway is almost sure to be the final team that goes to the playoff's. If they win against Austria it's a done deal. Sweden won their second straight game defeating Japan 5-4. Denmark lost to Switzerland 4-9 and the loss in draw 5 seems to proven costly for the Danes because it will most likely leave them outside the play-off's unless Norway lose tomorrow.
